Ensemble Video customers will migrate to Panopto throughout 2021, receiving exclusive migration incentives
SYRACUSE, April 21, 2021 - We are excited to announce that Ensemble Video has been acquired by Seattle-based video-tech company Panopto, the leading video management system provider for education and enterprises. We recognize that this announcement will come as a surprise to our customers and that this decision carries with it a significant impact to your faculty, staff, students, and institution. Please know we remain committed to each and every customer and we are incredibly excited about the potential this unlocks for you in the years to come.
What does this mean for customers?
On a day-to-day basis, it’s business as usual. Ensemble and Panopto will remain separate brands and platforms, and you won’t have to change anything in the short term. You should considering the following:
- No immediate change to support, service and contract; our current release, Version 5.7 is on track for June 2021; however, Ensemble Video will reach "End of New Development" following 5.7.
- Panopto will continue supporting Ensemble Video until September 2022, we will work on a smooth transition and will communicate a wind down date at least 6 months before it takes place.
- Panopto is offering special incentives to customers who migrate before September 2021.
- Complete details on the migration offer can be accessed by filling out this form.
As an existing Ensemble Video customer we realize this will create some turbulence in the short term. Please know we committed to helping you work through the transition and believe that the long term outlook is exciting. Panopto is the leading education and enterprise video platform that can offer you more than Ensemble Video. Plus, we've already started working on identifying the best of Ensemble Video and plan to thread it into Panopto. I encourage you to consider learning about Panopto's expanded feature set and capabilities. What does this mean for Ensemble Video?
Our entire team is now a part of Panopto! Our core team remains in Syracuse, NY and we will continue to lead our dedicated and talented team under Panopto. This is a great opportunity for us to leverage our skills, experience and passion in a larger company on a larger platform. More importantly, every interaction we have had with Panopto and their exceptional team has reinforced that we share a common vision and view. We all want to make video capture, management and publishing easy for you.
Our story continues...
In 2005 a small team of Syracuse University employees set out to make managing and publishing video content easy for Syracuse University. Fast forward to 2021, we truly exceeded our goals, dreams and expectations. We need to pinch ourselves when we reflect on our success and still can't believe that our video platform is used throughout the world. This experience taught us that creating a video platform isn't about technology, it is about relationships. Please know that our story continues and we are focused on taking our relationship to new heights.
Thank you!
Thank you for putting your trust in us over the last 13 years and bringing us to where we are today. We come to work every day for you. Our entire team is driven to make video use effective and easy for you and your organization. This commitment is stronger than ever as we enter into an exciting and synergistic relationship with Panopto that will have a noticeable impact on how your faculty, staff, students use video.
Sincerest gratitude,
Scott Nadzan, CEO
