Creating, managing, and publishing video titles - Ensemble Video enables multiple content administrators to easily create and publish video “titles” (also called video “entries”) to department and enterprise Web sites. Each video entry has title, keywords, production date, preview and thumbnail images, links to view the media, and other catalog descriptors (based on a catalog standard called Dublin Core). Content administrators can create new video entries using a simple wizard interface where they enter descriptive information and upload one or more encoded video files (for example, multiple versions of a video encoded at different bit rates, or perhaps a video and an audio-only MP3 version of a video title). Or they can create new video entries by importing catalog and related metadata from external video media servers or devices.
A flexible organizational framework A single implementation of Ensemble Video is often maintained by a single Ensemble Video “organization”. Ensemble Video organization administrators can define any number of “departments” within that organization. Each department has one or more content administrators who create video titles that are “owned” by their department. Department content administrators can also define, through a tool in the setup interface, any number of “Web sites” where video titles can be published.
